Greetings from Poland!

I don’t want to shock anyone, but I am sending you some photos of our trip. I always say that I will, but you know how it goes. I promise myself that I will mail these!

We arrived in Prague on Tuesday around noon, and, after taking a three hour nap, walked to the square. This is surely one of the most beautiful squares in the world, with buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. We had dinner sitting outside in the square at a wonderful café. Here are a few shots of the view as we ate.

We walked around a bit more after dinner, and then returned to our art nouveau style hotel. Here is a View of the front, and a photo of Jim in the old elevator. Prague is the home of Art Nouveau, and fine A.N. architecture abounds. As we walked out of our hotel we could see the old tower and entrance to the square. Beside it is the Art Nouveau style Municipal Building. It contains cafes and concert halls. It is gorgeous inside and out - eye candy, as you can see.

Prague is a great people watching city. Here are the hare Krishnas making their procession through the milling tourists. Some gypsies were loitering at a fountain. The police tried to talk them into leaving, but then ended up calling the paddy wagon to take them away. Gypsies are notorious pick pockets and aggressive beggars, so they aren’t welcome in European cities.

The next day … well, I think I’ll save that for tomorrow. It is midnight and I need to at least try to go to sleep. To me it is just 5:00pm, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not tired. Miss you all!
